About

Paul is the Co-founder of GeoNadir and has gone from disposing of bombs in the military to disposing of bombs in business. In both careers he has had close calls, but no significant unintended explosions.

Paul’s careers have provided him with unique insights and skills around strategic leadership in complex environments, confidence under fire, and a focus on details because your life depends on it.

He has used these skills to: deliver projects on both national and international stages; build a STEM education social enterprise to be internationally recognised; raise over $7M in equity and non-equity funding; advise national NFP boards on strategy and governance; and now build GeoNadir with his co-founder Dr Karen Joyce.

GeoNadir will be the Earth observation platform that empowers companies and governments to understand Earth in real-time. Right now, the focus is on the drone data problem. Millions of drones of all sizes are capturing Earth observation data everyday. GeoNadir makes it simple to manage, process, analyze, and collaborate with your data.

Paul is leading the Investor Relations for GeoNadir and is currently meeting with investors who fit the GeoNadir investment criteria.

In 2016 Paul was recognised as the Institute of Managers and Leaders, Emerging Leader of the Year, and gained his Chartered Managers accreditation in 2020. Paul holds a Master of Philosophy from the University of Queensland.

Outside of work you will find Paul on the beach volunteering at his local Surf Lifesaving Club, or on the water enjoying the Great Barrier Reef.

The use of sport to bring together and build communities is highly popularised, and often produces stories of transformation. The aim in this research is to critically review the ways in which mining companies use sport for development (SfD) programs targeting First Nations people, to attain and maintain a social licence to operate. The deliberate perspective adopted in this thesis involved evaluating the mining company funded SfD programs where the intended beneficiaries are First Nations people.

If you thought herding cats was hard, then put 100+ 5 - 14 year olds on a beach with boards, combined with waves, sun, and sand, and then you realise that cat herding is easier!

I also love taking our young adults once they have finished Nippers and giving them skills and experiences to help them become better people who are giving back to our community.
